The Murray Ring Fan
A Bespoke Solution for an Iconic Fan & Building
When Big Ass Solutions was contracted to develop a customized installation for their famously large fans, they reached out to Zukun as a development partner. The site was the famous Murray building in Hong Kong, which was going through a billion dollar restoration led by architecture firm Foster + Partners. Their vision transformed the original parking garage into a spectacular event space featuring twelve Haiku fans each with an eight-foot diameter glowing ring encircling it.
Months of research, collaboration, testing, and prototyping went into the development and production of the twelve illuminated rings. The large scale of the ring and fan combined with luxe finish applications make the Murray Ring Fan impressive on more than one level. Now, it graces the halls of one of the most prestigious hotels in Hong Kong.
